That's true of me, too, although I don't think I'd go so far as saying incompatible with everyone else. Wordmail takes advantage of MIME which can handle RTF encapsulation. Most readers don't understand that kind of content encoding (they do understand MIME usually, though) and leave the MIME stream as an attachment called winmail.dat. The problem with it, of course, is that if you meant to send an attachment, it's stuck inside winmail.dat as well. The Lotus Notes problems with MIME encapsulation are also legendary.
