[mso] Re: Page number printing

I have that option, which is a insert field. "#" of "++" which is two fields
separated by the test 'of'.
Under the 'Insert auto test' button, an option of page X of Y button will
enter the same string as above.
Note that what I posted stated the on-screen display was correct, only the
printed page was incorrect.
Found KB 234287 <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234287/en-us> that stated
SP1 should correct the problem. I thought that the SP1 had been slipstreamed
onto my copy of Office so that should have been done. Not so. I had to
install separately. Fixed.

In Word 2002, which I use, I have to click the insert-page-number icon
(the icon with #), then type "of" and then click the
insert-number-of-pages icon (the icon with the ++). Is that what you have
to do? If so, then you need to highlight the second field in the footer
and then click the number-of-pages variable to replace field.

Word2000 reinstalled less than 30 days. Automatic updates.

Footer in Print view displays page n of 5 where "n" is the correct page of
the total pages of 5. But when printed footer shows 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 3 of 3
etc.
I have tried to remove page numbering then reinsert the page of pages
numbering. No change.
How do I
