But Vic....isn't this just for animation sound?

I didn't think Steven was asking about animation sound, I thought he
just wanted the sound to continue thru the slides

Ok, I reinstalled Powerpoint to jog my memory and it's where I said -
the Mulitmedia tab. Just right click your sound and choose Custom
Animation and then click the Multimedia tab. Put a checkmark next to
Play using animation order and then check Continue Slide Show.
Finally, enter the number of slides you want the sound to continue
through - in the Stop Playing section - After option.
