I remember that with OL 97/98 too, Greg.....unfortunately, Outlook 2K
doesn't have the Exit and LogOff choice....and we have tried both using
the X and using File>Exit....no difference, Outlook just keeps going and
going and going and going and going and goi....

I used to have this problem with Lookout 97. The way I got around it was
to stop using the X to close the app. At that time, and I don't know if
O2000 still has this (XP doesn't), the File menu contained two ways to
shut down Outlook. One was simply exit which always left an Outlook stub
in memory. The other was to "Logoff and Exit". Using that second one
always did the trick.
As I recall, this problem had something to do with MAPI holding a
connection open to things like Schedule+, etc., which would make the
problem predominantly one that affected Workgroup mode users. Is he
configured for Workgroup mode?
