[mso] Re: Outlook voting and tracking

Well...not really sure what to tell you other than they SHOULD be in your
SENT folder. I just tried two tests and they seemed to be working for me. I
have two originals with Tracking tabs and, although it's a bit confusing
trying to track my own responses from three of my own emails all sent from
the same session of OL<g>...I do get responses. Although not all show what
the responses ARE since some of the accounts I used (i.e., gmail) didn't
allow me to see any buttons cos' it's not Outlook. But it shows that account
DID reply...just doesn't show what I responded, cos'...of course...I
couldn't.

Hi Dian,

I guess I did not explain that very well. Most if not all emails I have
sent out (business wise, I do not use this for personal emails) have been
responded as being received and read, but usually on the top of my sent
email there will be two tabs, one says "Message" and the other "Tracking".
Inside of the Tracking tab will be the Recipient's name and also the time
the email was read.

So now I have a lot of emails that have been sent out and they have been
read and responded to but the original email on my email does not have the
tracking tab.

A thought has occurred to me that I move my original email messages out of
the "sent" folder to a special folder, but still within Outlook, for my
records. Could moving the message cause my problem?

Thanks, Debbie

What do you mean by "they don't process?"

Know that the recipient has the right to set an option to question them
whether they WANT a receipt to acknowledge if they received/read a message.
So if the recipient turns that off, you won't get a receipt from them.
Personally, I use that option cos' it's no one business WHEN I read their
email...so I never allow those.

If that's what you mean...that some reply, but you don't also see a receipt
from them...that could be the problem.

If you mean process on your end...then I don't know what you mean and you'll
have to explain what you want done, further.

Subject: [mso] Outlook voting and tracking

Hi,

I am actively looking for work at the moment and sending out many emails. I
always check off "request delivery and request read receipt" when sending
these emails, but for some reason when the receipts are returned they do not
process - is there a setting somewhere that I do not have turned on? I am
starting to lose track of who has responded to me and who has not.

I am using Outlook 2003. WinXP home. Thanks for any help.

Debbie
