I agree with Linda. I had the same problem. I narrowed it down to =
either spam and/or corrupt messages on the server (POP3 account). Once =
I deleted all non-business e-mails it worked fine. It is likely the =
first 1-2 e-mails on your account, delete them and then try it.

I've had the same problem on and off, Kay...and yes, usually removing =
mail
from the server fixes it...in my case, what I found is it's certain spam
mails that get stuck on my server, so until they are removed, nothing =
can
get past them...the reason you are getting the same mails over and over =
is
becuz the LAST step of Outlook's download process is to "clean mail off =
the
server"...so if it doesn't finish, the mail you downloaded doesn't get
cleaned off and therefore you get it again every time you download

In my case, I've determined it's not an Outlook problem, it's a spam
problem. Try going to the server and deleting all the spam...I bet the =
rest
of your mail comes thru fine then.

Good luck.=20

I am running a new dell machine with outlook 2003.
For weeks now it is doing some strange things with my emails (5 =
accounts)
When bringing the mail in it will say it is loading all 100 messages, =
then
when almost complete it stops and gives an error message. Then it tries
again. So I get the same of the first few emails (even though it says it
down loads 99 of the 100) over and over again. If I go to the server =
and
remove some of the emails first it will sometimes be ok the next time it
tries to download the messages but no always. It does not seem to matter =
if
it is loading 30, 100, 400 messages. Any suggestions?

Kay Green
