[mso] Re: Outlook constantly prompting for password

Same thing happens to me. AND I can't seem to get a pop-up box about
the small business manager to NOT appear at the startup of Outlook,
which prevents me sending a word document directly from Word because I
still have to open Outlook, click OK through the business manager
message, and then click send/receive for my word doc to send!!!

I've tried the Repair in the help menu.

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

Subject: [mso] Outlook constantly prompting for password

I have Outlook 2003. It is set to check for mail every 60 seconds on 2
e-mail addresses. Often, for no apparent reason, a window pops up asking
me to enter my user name and password. The remember the password check
box is always cleared. I select the check box and click OK, but it
prompts me again and again. Sometimes I'm in the middle of typing
something, and I look up and find that I'm typing in the password box.
There is nothing wrong with my settings or e-mail server--I use the Test
account settings button and it prompts me again, but everything else
works normally. I am able to send and receive mail with no problems.

I keep my computer and Office completely updated.

Why does Outllok do this to me so often? This is definiely a bug. I just
want the Remember password check box selected. There is no reason for it
to magically clear itself.

Joel
