[mso] Outlook attachments

Hello All
If you wish to add a file to an email message in outlook, how do you make
sure it ends up as an attachment instead of being contained in the main body
of text. (Obviously a wrong button has been pressed at some time!!!!)
Any help greatly appreciated.
