I'll get used to groups, but I'd rather have the system do what I want
MY WAY.  I'm really anti-control when it comes to that sort of
thing...you can probably guess I have a real problem with authority
figures too.  sigh.  /g

You are right, Glenda...I didn't realize this since I DO use the groups
feature, which I really like....when I turned off the groups, I got the
same message as you, that it could not sort by the categories field

Not sure WHY that's the case, but I can confirm that it's true...to sort
by Categories, you DO have to turn on Show in Groups
