If your prefer, the attachments issues can be 'fixed' without editing
the registry directly.

Thanks Neil, I didn't have the updates since the format. I downloaded
them and now the rules seem to be fine. Of course, I created another
problem with not being able to receive attachments but I found out how
to fix that in the registry.

Have you installed both SP1 and SP2 for Office XP?
The latter does fix a lot of issues with rules, but you must install SP1
first.
