[mso] Outlook Questions

Hi Guys, I have a couple of questions about Outlook.
 
1. When email, with it's attachments, are archived, and the original  email 
is deleted, can a copy retrieved from the archive even after a long period  of 
time has elapsed (say months or years)?
 
2. I have a number of email addresses. I have configured Outlook (2007)  with 
separate PST files for each email address. Each PST file has the requisite  
inbox, sent, and deleted items folders. The problem I am having is that even  
though I have configured Outlook to automatically purge the deleted items 
folder  upon exit, none of the "secondary" deleted items folders get purged 
when I 
exit.  I have looked for PST specific configurations so that ALL of the 
deleted items  folders get purged, but can't find one ... What am I doing wrong.
