[mso] Re: Outlook 2003 crash

My autosave was already set to 3 mins but it didn't save the email yesterday
at all. It's happened again this morning and when I checked the error log
it appears it might be something to do with GoogleDesktop which I have now
disable for the day so we'll see what happens now.

In reply to Elise - it does seem to be only Outlook that's crashing. I have
a few programs that I have to run which are fairly memory hungry, but there
is no option to disable them or I can't do my work! LOL

I'm going to run with (or should that be without?) Google Desktop and see if
that makes a difference. Will do the system restore later to try and
retrieve my rules as a separate exercise.

Thanks guys.

I've seen Outlook crash when it's trying to download large
files/attachments. How long has the behavior been happening? Was it fine for
a while and then suddenly started doing this, or is it new? Could be a
resource issue (which may be more of a Windows problem than Office) - are
any other applications having weird crashing behavior?

I know Outlook rules can tend to be buggy but I don't know whether a system
restore would bring them back. I'm thinking probably not but don't quote me
on that.

Have a look at the options. My Outlook 2003 has an "autosave" option,
which=20 in my machine is set to 3 minutes (don't remember if this is the
default or=20 if I set it).
