[mso] Re: Outlook 2003 SP2 junk filter (KB906173) downloads, does not install

Don't know. I take it you read this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906173

Since I see you posted this same Q back in Oct and apparently still haven't
gotten an answer, I'd suggest you post to the OL group on the free MS
newsgroups where OL MVPs may have answers for you. Go here and drill down to
the Outlook group.

Good luck...

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2003 SP2 junk filter (KB906173) downloads, does not
install

Every time I boot up, the reminder reminds me. From time to time I say, "Go
ahead." All proceeds normally, until the final step. Then it refuses to
actually install.

What's going on?

Following the KB instructions, I found the *.dat file and saw that it is
dated July; in the fine print, I'm told that if it's after June, I need not
worry. But the update alert insists that I need the October version.
