AFAIK the 2 meg (don't you mean gig?) barrier is not dependent on where the
file is. It's a simple limitation of the software.
And yes, I believe that 2003 has a much greater limit.
You might be able to recover it by loading it in 2003, but you might not. I
seem to recall that the file actually gets corrupted when it hits the limit.
Try it, though. You might be lucky.
Failing that, you'll need to regress it to a backup from when it was below
the limit.
If you don't have a backup, do a Google search. There are repair tools out
there. Not sure if any of them are share- or free-ware though.
