[mso] Re: Outlook 2000 outllib.dll

But WHERE on your hard drive are they?

I'm not even sure this is gonna fix it for you...but I'm out of ideas if
none of the stuff from the Microsoft KB helped...but I did see this in
another support group.

Is one of the ones on your hard drive in C:\Windows\System or
C:\Windows\System32? If so, rename that one to MSVCRT40.OLD, then copy
the one from the Office CD that is version 4.22.0.0 to that same
location. If that doesn't fix it, then try renaming the others on the
hard drive to MSVCRT40.OLD and replace them with the same one from the
CD....if any of this causes any other problems, simply delete the one
you copied from the CD and name the old ones back to MSVCRT40.DLL

Other than that, I'm out of ideas...sorry. If someone else doesn't come
up with any other suggestions, you could try going to Microsoft's
website and post this to the Outlook newsgroup forums there.

Also...outllib.dll has also been known to get overwritten by older
versions when you install some other software or addins...did you do
that recently? If replacing the MSVCRT40.DLL doesn't fix your problem,
then try updating Office with the SR patches at the MS Update site...or,
at the very least, replace the outllib.dll on your hard drive with the
one from the CD, but ONLY IF THE ONE ON THE CD IS NOT AN EARLIER
VERSION.

Good luck.

Ok, the first one is an application extension on my
hard drive, version 4.22.0.0; the second one is an
extension file for my Earthlink; the third one is an
extension for one of my daughter's computer games; and
the last two are from the Office 2000 disk:
M:\SQL\X86\SYSTEM, version 4.10.0.6038; and M:\SYSTEM,
version 4.22.0.0.

Does that help? :)
