I haven't experienced it as much in 2003, but it still does happen
occasionally....just not as much.

Well, I just tried again to get Outlook to open twice, and it didn't, so
maybe I just imagined that!!  LOL

Anyway I agree with Andrew's approach - you have to just stop the
processes from the Task Manager and try over again.
