[mso] Outlook 2000 loading, but not showing?

Ok, there are times I will click on Start -> All Programs -> Outlook 2000
and I can tell from Windows Task Manager (Processes tab) that Outlook has
loaded. Sometimes multiple times, however it is not visible on the monitor.
I end up closing all the Outlook processes and trying again +or+ rebooting.

McAfee claims I am clean, and so does Spybot. McAfee was updated this
morning (Feb 22) and Spybot was checked last night. It acts like a virus,
but McAfee says no.

How / why does Outlook load so many times from time to time? And does anyone
know what I need to do to stop it please?

I thought the Office family would not run multiple copies? I.e., I thought
Outlook, Word, Excel all would load just ONCE? That sure is a memory
destroyer right there. Is it a flaw that it can load more than once or
purposely planned?

Thank you.

Robert
