Yup, I see it with Outlook 2003 also...actually I see a general slowing down
in my whole system, not just opening links in IE, whenever Outlook is
downloading mail...switching views in Outlook, launching another
program...everything is slower if Outlook happens to be downloading mail
when I do it.

Consider the following circumstances
1) I am in the process of receiving/downloading email
2) I open an email with a hyperlink
3) I click on the hyperlink
When I do this, Outlook stops receiving (actually a "pause") and the system
sort of "hangs" for 20-30 seconds.
Then the IE window opens and Outlook continues.
This only seems to happen if OE is downloading email at the time.
Is this normal?
Does anyone else experience this?
