As moderator of this group, I am going to step in here now....
Bill...I'm sorry if you feel the members of this group have been sarcastic
and unhelpful to you, but it's probably because of what you are NOT saying.
If someone gave you the computer or sold it to you with Office installed and
no disc, then you will have to ask them for the disc. If, instead, you have
misplaced the disc, you should call Microsoft (as suggested) and they will
replace it for you at a reasonable replacement cost. However, if you
installed the program from someone else's disc or downloaded it from a file
sharing group, that is illegal and no one in this group is going to help you
fix your problem (this is clearly stated in the rules you received via email
when you joined this group .... If anyone helps you with this in this group,
they are breaking the group rules and will be removed from the group by me).
To fix your problem would probably require repairing Office or reinstalling
it and both of those will require the disc. Don't be mad at
Microsoft....what happened was you got to the point in the install where you
had to prove you legally owned the program....because you cannot do that,
the installation has halted and is now waiting for that proof. Sorry.
