Leef,
That switch simply tell Outlook to use the same window - even if the user
clicks on the 'launch' icon again.
This avoids the situation where you can have multiple instances of Outlook
running unintentionally.
I would use that QL icon and delete the other.
Regards

Subject: [mso] Office Pro XP (2002), quick launch icon
Hi,
I ran the Office Update for my MS Office Pro XP and downloaded and =
installed
the SP3 update. Now I have two quicklaunch icons on the bottom of my
desktop toolbar for Outlook.exe. The one added in the SP3 update adds =
the
/recycle switch to the outlook.exe executable. What does this switch =
do,
and can I safely delete one of the quick launch icons, and if so, WHICH =
ONE?
Sincerely,
Leef
