[mso] Re: Office Excel 2000 Problem

Clear your temp folder first (see this article:
http://www.mousetrax.com/maintain.html), then run a check disk (Right click
your main HD [most likely C:\), click Properties > Tools and step through
the Check Disk process. This type of error...MAY be due to corruption, but
usually means that there could be a bad sector on your hard drive. A check
disk will patch that sector so it will not be used in the future.

You'll also want to make sure you have a good backup of your important data
files on your HD. Although a HD can continue working for a long time with
bad sectors (if that does turn out to be the case...after the check disk),
it could also mean the beginning of deterioration of the drive and possible,
future failure. If the drive is new, it might be a bad drive. If the drive
is old, it might be the start of it going downhill. 

Either way, there are two types of computer users...those who backup
regularly...and those who wish they did!

I have been receiving error messages using Excel 2000, and the error
messages have been occuring often, if not every time, I try to open certain
files.  The error message is as follows:
 
The Instruction at "0x303c2986" referenced memory at "0x0000000b".
The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate the program. 
 
Is their any advice that can be given to correct this problem?
