[mso] Re: Office 2007 converted all my Word & Excel 2003 spreadsheets

Open them in the 2007 version and use "Save As" to save them in the 97-2003
version. This will give you both versions.

Also, you can change the default in 2007 to save them in the earlier
version.

Subject: [mso] Office 2007 converted all my Word & Excel 2003 spreadsheets

Hello Linda,
I hope things are a bit more settled & the family crises is easing up a bit.

A question for the group:
I purchased a new laptop with Vista & it had Office 2007 (Student Edition)
I went to Dian's website & followed the directions on installing Word &
Excel 2003 in a different folder & for the past few months everything was
working just fine. Most all my documents & spreadsheets were 2003, but one
fine morning, they were all suddenly converted to 2007. This created a
nightmare for me & for people who were sending me documents they created in
2003 & they wanted them to stay that way.

Short of removing Office 2007 & only reinstalling 2003, is there a way to
convert them back to 2003? I would like to keep both in there if it is
possible.

Thanks,
Jan
