I turned off the Indexing in Vista and Outlook 2007 became much faster.
This also helped, update for Outlook 2007 (KB933493). I put an Antec cool
pad under the laptop and it is cool now.

Subject: [mso] Office 2007
My new desktop came with Office 2007 ( on windows XP). It took some
adjusting but I really like most of it.
I bought a new version of Office 2007 (upgrade) for my laptop. I have had
problems every since. Outlook is VERY slow. My fan is running all the time.
The computer seems to be running hotter.
My computer tech has done all the software things we know to do: reinstall,
office repair, defrag, disk clean.
Has anyone else experienced these issues after upgrading to Office 2007
