What? You mean you're not ready for another FUN weekend of 4 bazillion
emails an hour???<roflmao> Sorry...couldn't resist.

I say move 'em and sent the thing out. Since folks can't reply to
it...there's no danger of starting an email blast from folks who don't
realize the meaning of the word Test! ;-)

Subject: [mso] OT question from Linda....I need advice

OK gang...I know this is OT and I really apologize...but since all of
you went thru the fiasco with me when I moved this group from yahoo to
freelists, I'm hoping you will bear with me and give me some advice.

Here's the deal:

I just set up a freelists group for my ABC Newsletter which goes out
once a month.....it's one mailing, only one day a month.......and
therefore, there's really no such thing as "digest".....however, there
are a few members who are set for "no email" at yahoo......so I'm
thinking there's really no reason to send the whole membership of this
newsletter (about 2000 members) an email announcing this, as long as I
make sure I set all the no mail people to vacation before I mail it
out...the subject line identifier will be [abcomputers] which was
exactly the same as yahoo so most people's mail rules shouldn't be
affected.....and if they are, it's only one mail a month.....but I
certainly don't want to piss people off again, so I thought I'd ask here
if anyone can see any reason why I can't just mail this out next week
like I normally do and put an explanation INSIDE the newsletter, right
at the top, simply stating that the homebase for the text version of
this mail has changed and give them a link to the homepage for it if
they want to unsubscribe.....what do you think?

also, since I'm the only member at this time, it was easy for me to send
all the past issues to the new freelists group...there are only 11
emails in total so far, so the archives at freelists are now up to
date.....here's a link to the homepage I made at freelists if any of you
would be kind enuf to tell me if the instructions, etc. are clear

thanks a bunch.....and since I went OT, I will give you all three days
to send every Outlook Express question you have to this
list....LOL......ONLY KIDDING!!

thanks for your time.....I respect all your opinions, so if you think I
need to write to my whole membership and let them all re-subscribe to
the freelists version of this newsletter voluntarily, I will do that,
but it's REALLY not what I want to do.
