Thank you all who responded to my question about WordPad. My Son-in-Law came 
and corrected it for me.  It took him about an hour to find it, but it now 
works fine and also corrected all my filed  documents which had previously had 
been convereted to WordPad back to .doc.  I am not that savey about the 
technical stuff so cannot explain what he did.  But if anyone needs help for 
this same probelm I would be glad to contact him for you and get the scoop on 
how he fixed it.
