Hello Fellow MS Officers, A small file (220k) 1 minute download on a phone modem. Even if you know nothing about MS Access, you can download this example database and have some fun poking around. This is of course if you have MS Access 2000 installed on your machine. It's a little management program I wrote for our racing stable. If you are an MS Access beginner, you can maybe get some ideas after you've seen how I did stuff. It is 90% macro driven so it's easy to follow. Just open the macros in design mode and see what makes them run. The forms and menu system look pretty good. ( "I" think so anyway LOL ) For novice Access users.. There is a neat little "Things To Do" system in there. Perhaps you can use this in some of your business apps., just clean it up a little. It has some code behind it, (a buddy of mine wrote) and it's pretty nifty the way it runs. If a "Thing To Do" has been neglected, a little flag thingy pops up on the Main Switchboard. There is also a ProperCase function in there that John Viescas wrote. He slightly modified it for me so it can handle horse names, like [a. p. indy] used to return A. p. Indy,? now is comes back as A. P. Indy. Here is the link to the file at smartgroups. (you have to be a ListMember to get it here) http://www.smartgroups.com/vault/msofiles/Access/A2k_Business_Blan k_v1.zip If the line above is broken, use the URL below. Here is a link to the file on my site. (any-buddy can get it here). http://www.gate.net/~kp/A2k_Business_Blank_v1.zip I've only "lightly" tested everything so there may be stuff that's not 100%. In any case, this is only an example MDB. If you find something wrong with it?. YOU fix it?.. LOL. If you have any questions about it. kp@xxxxxxxx <mailto:kp@xxxxxxxx> Have fun, Peter C.
