Paul-

Microsoft has a list of available keyboard shortcuts for Access 2000,
maybe you can find what you need here. There are some that describe how
to move controls around a form or report while in design view.

Hi All,

Apologies for asking you but if you could help it would be great.

I know how to place a text box in a header/footer of a form in design
view of access
but I don't know how to exit the text box to get back up to the
toolbars.

How do I rearrange fields in design view. I am able to select and move
them
in the data sheet view but I can't seem to select in design view.

I'm not even sure I am asking this question right. I use a screen
reader so keystrokes would be what I need if possible but if there
are no keystrokes available then please tell me as I am probably
looking for a needle in a haystack here.

Paul.

I'm not sure, but I believe the student version of Office XP is the same
as the Standard version, just at a reduced cost to students. Here's
Microsoft's page which describes what it includes:

http://snipurl.com/e4y

I have done both...uninstalled Office 2000 and installed Office XP
clean...and also, just installed Office XP right over top of Office
2000..... and I can truthfully say I didn't see any differences. Both
seemed to work fine. Usually I always say it's best to uninstall the
old version before you install the new one, but in this case, I've
really not seen anything bad when I just installed it right over top.
However, if the Office 2000 installation has any problems, it would be
best to uninstall it first, otherwise the problems would only continue.

I would recommend, however, that once installed, you go to Microsoft's
website and get the SP1 service pack becuz it does fix some flaws in
Office XP. Evidently, SP2 is also supposed to fix some stuff, but it
wasn't as obvious to me, so I don't know if it's necessary, but I do
have both service packs installed.

Hope this answers your question, Victor

Happy Turkey Day to you too...and to everyone else in this great group.

Quick question, I am looking to upgrade from Office 2000 to Office XP.
My daughter was given a Student Version of Office XP as a gift. Is there
any difference in the student version?

Also, has anyone upgraded from Office 2000 to Office XP without
unistalling first? Would anyone care to give a recommendation?

Thanks and Happy Turkey Day.
