[mso] Microsoft Office Publisher

I am trying to install a trial period of Micrsoft Publisher 2007 for my
computer (Windows XP) for about a week now.  Every time I try to install it,
an error message pops up and says       the installation failed and to
contact microsoft office support.  Any ideas of why this might occur?
