Thanks, I removed the "Active Directory" and am now using "Contacts". The
problem seems to have gone away.

Microsoft LDAP refers to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, a standard
to which Microsoft's Active Directory supposedly complies. It is a directory
of objects (containers for people, places and things) and, therefore, I'm
thinking that Outlook's Address Book settings have the default set to a
network address book instead of to a local PST.

Hi All, 

I just loaded Microsoft Office 2003 to my Pentium 4, Windows XP. (Upgrading
from MS2000). Every thing went well except, when I open MS Outlook 2003 I
get a popup window asking for connection details for Microsoft LDAP
Directory. Can someone tell me what this is and if not required how to get
rid of the popup window. 

I hope this is the right group, I'm not sure Microsoft Outlook is considered
part of Microsoft Office.
