Look into AutoCorrect. You should be able to arrange it so your
preferred sequence of keystrokes (they actually get typed) are replaced
by the character you want.
Another way of storing and automatically inserting custom characters
would be as autotext.
Autotext might be easier to manage, as you store it in a given template,
and can move it from template to template using the Organizer tool.
Finally, you could also record a simple macro to do the typing for you.
It's not as simple or controllable where autocorrect entries are stored.
