Go to the Format menu and choose Styles and Formatting (this will bring up
your Styles taskpane on the right)
Hover your mouse over one of the styles in the task pane that you want to
change, you'll see a dropdown arrow appear. Click the dropdown and choose
"Select all (#) instances" .... This will select all the text using that
style. Then while it's selected, click on the style name in the task pane
that you want all headings to use and this will apply that style to all that
is selected.
Then repeat this with another style you want to change. Just be sure to
change them all to one style.

Subject: [mso] MS Word : How do I apply heading styles to consistently
format a document?
Hi
I've cut and pasted sections of several documents into one. I've
noticed that the styles for the headings are all different.
I was wondering: I would like to apply the same heading styles
throughout the document so the document is formatted consistently. Is there
an easy way?
thanks
Albert
ps: I am using MS Word 2003
