[mso] MS Word : How do I apply heading styles to consistently format a document?

Hi
I've cut and pasted sections of several documents into one. I've noticed
that the styles for the headings are all different.
I was wondering: I would like to apply the same heading styles
throughout the document so the document is formatted consistently. Is there an
easy way?
  thanks
  Albert
ps: I am using MS Word 2003
