Hi Marty, I'm not sure I'm with you yet, but when you are in design mode of
the form and select the 'box', what are the property settings? Is it
bound to a data source, and is it enabled for data entry? Is your form
recordsource a query or table. If the field is unbound, it has no place to
save, no table or field to write back to, so you could enter it on the
form, but when you switch to a new record, it will be lost. A query, if
that is your recordsource, may not be updatable, however, it sounds like
your other data is saving, with the exception of the memo field.
I guess what's puzzling me is the groups of information joining
vertical/horizontal lines around , a 'box'. That's where I'm not with you
yet in understanding of what the field is and where it's coming from.
Thanks, Cathy

Hello Cathy, Thank you for pursuing this.
I had these options when I setup my database, Table view Queries view and=
Form view. I choose Queries view. Then I set up a form from there.
When=
I set up my form one of the field options was "memo" When I look at my=
form all the groups of information have joined vertical and horizontal=
joined lines around the information. I call these joined lines a "BOX"
The box with the disappearing information is the one called "memo"
Thank you again.
Marty
