[mso] Re: Labels dropping the 0 in Zipcodes

The reason you are seeing that is you are using the Address Block feature in
Word 2002/03. Instead, you need to insert the fields one by one, I believe.
(but I'm not sure since I've never used that address block thing.)

If you download my free Word 2002/03 mail merge tutorial, it shows you how
to add the fields one by one.

It's here...just click the link on this page to download it, cuz it's
definitely different than the tutorial on that page, which is for 2000:

http://personal-computer-tutor.com/mailmerge.htm

The ebook doesn't show you how to use Excel as your data source, but it DOES
show you how to add the fields one at a time.

Sorry, but I need to crawl back into my writing hole (the book is almost
half done!!)....hopefully the ebook will get you thru it. Good luck.

Subject: [mso] Labels dropping the 0 in Zipcodes

Thanks to you, Linda, & Ray for trying to get me through this. I must be
brain dead because whatever I do does not give me the results I need. In
fact, when I replace any of the cells with {mergefield zip \# "00000"} every

thing disappears except the first & last name.
Below is what I see when I press ALT + F 9. Which cell do you think needs
replacing? When I replace one do I stay between the under scores, like
<<_{mergefield zip \# "00000"}_>>

{ADDRESSBLOCK \f
"<<_TITLEO_>><<_FIRSTO_>><<
LASTO_>><<_SUFFIXO_>>
<<_STREET1_
>><<_STREET2_

Really looking forward to your reply,
Jan
