If you use accented characters a lot, you might try configuring your normal=
 american keyboard as US International instead of the default configuration,=
 then you should be able to type all common Latin diacritical characters by=
 combining keystrokes (the "=E9" in Ren=E9e would be typed by typing a=
 quotation mark then the character "e", the Spanish and Portuguese "=E3"=
 would be typed as a tilde ("~") followed by the "a" character, and so on).
With this configuration you can write in all common latin languages (French,=
 Spanish, Portuguese, Roumanian, etc.), and it's easier, IMHO, than=
 remembering a lot of different character codes.
