I agree with Dian that it's either corruption, a conversion issue, or a
missing or corrupt font.  The first thing I would have them do is select
all, then change the font a different font and see if that fixes it...if it
doesn't, then it could be corruption and HOPEFULLY someone has taught this
person the importance of backing up documents that are "very sensitive"....I
can't believe people have documents they consider this important and they
don't back them up...in my opinion, they are just asking for trouble and
lately, get less and less sympathy from me.  People NEED to make backups!!
And, their companies need to provide them with network locations where they
can store files and the company makes FREQUENT backups of that drive!

Have you checked the font formatting for that text? Looks like maybe =
they
tried to use a font that is not on the computer? It could be
corruption...but check the font first. Do you know if they had to =
convert
the document before they opened it?=20
