There is no great problem with running the two version of Office on the same
system Andrew.

You do have to install into separate directories, and note that you can only
have ONE version of Outlook installed (I highly recommend OL2003 over 2k).

You can also upgrade the 2k installation to 2003 - I've done such a thing a
number of times with no great problem, but removing O2k first would probably be
a wise move.

Don't forget you can use the Office Save My Settings wizard to keep on your
customisations, etc.

Oh, and do backup everything first! ;-)

Subject: [mso] Installing Office 2003 - Advice reqd.

I am about to install the full version of Office 2003 (I currently have
Office 2000).

Potentially, it would be useful to me to be able to run both versions,
installing 2003 to another directory. I have no idea, however, if that's a
wise move!

If I had to replace 2000 with 2003, are there any issues with simply
installing over the existing installation? Or would I be wise to remove the
Office 2000 installation first?

Any experience from those who have travelled this road would be most
welcome!
