Hi Graham, that might be the object anchor, which you can also uncheck on

Hey y'all, followed this one with interest - is the picture place holder
you're referring to that ANCHOR which always causes me so much grief?

That was the problem. When I unchecked "picture placeholder", the images
became visible.
