[mso] Re: IT WORKED!! Font Question

It may have just needed a "kick start" to recognize the new font and realize
that the one you picked is the same as the one you had...or at least accept
it as similar.

OK, this is what I did...

Opened a new slide, clicked in the title and typed junk.... clicked on the
font box and chose shelley allegro... it changed it on the screen... so I
opened up the problem document and as soon as it opened the fonts switched
right before my eyes to Shelley allegro.... imagine that! =)

I really don't know why... but it worked... and prints great...

Try creating a new sample page in PPT and use that font and see if it
prints.

It COULD be that you have a different version of the font and that is the
one that got registered and used with the other presentation. It may
LOOK/be
named the same, but if the reg ID is different...it will think it is
something totally different.

If it prints in the new test, then you should reinsert that font into the
other sides. Try one first to see if that helps, if so...time to refresh
the
presentation with the font from the new CD.

This can happen with obscure fonts cos' some sites recreate them for
downloading.

Shelley Allegro isn't a font I am familiar with. So, I will admit, I am a
little stumped. One thing you could try is removing it from the font folder
and then re-drop it in. That might fix the install problem. Or, you could
find the original source of the font and re-install it......

Another thing to try- if you double click the font in the font folder, how
does it look in that preview? Is it a full font, or does it have missing
characters?

Sorry... thought I mentioned that... it is shelley allegro (true type)

I open a doc in word type text... highlight... format ... font... choose
shelley allegro... prints great...

Just won't print from PowerPoint... and at the bottom of the font box it
says... this font hasn't been installed on this system... strange... it is
in the font folder...
