For the copy/paste, just select "skip blanks" in the "paste special" popup.
Don't understand your side question. When you say "If cell A2 equals zero,
replace cell B2 with a zero..." you seem to be heading in the wrong
direction. Formulas (IF or anything else) do not REPLACE a cell's
contents - they merely control what the cell will display.
A cell can only have one thing in it. That is its formula. If the formula
is a simple number, etc (i.e. doesn't start with an "="), then Excel will
display that formula unchanged as the value. If it does start with a "=",
Excel will evaluate it as a statement and will display the result as the
value.
Regards, Dave S
PS I might already have answered the side question in a different message.
If so, apologies. My mail came in on two different PCs today and I can't
cross-check from where I am at the moment.
