[mso] Re: How to display Word 2003 TOC page numbers as links

Go to Word's Tools menu and click on Options...in there, click on the Edit
tab and remove the check from the box that says "Use Ctrl+click to follow
hyperlink"

Subject: [mso] How to display Word 2003 TOC page numbers as links

Hi,

When I use Word 2000 and insert a TOC, the page numbers display
differently than when I use Word 2003. In 2000, when I mouse over a TOC
page number, I get the hand cursor and can click on the page number to
go to that page. In 2003, however, when I mouse over the TOC page
number rather than the hand cursor I see this little pop-up text:

"Current Document. CTRL + click to follow link"

I did test this with the same document in the 2 Word versions. Is there
some setting in 2003 that would let this display as it does in 2000, or
is it a change in 2003 that must display this way?

Thanks for any help.

Diane
