The formula as it appears below will highlight anything during the month concerned. It compares to the date itself but takes the day of the month from today, if you see what I mean. I've tested it here and it works for me. Ray -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Scott-Johnson, Tiffani D. Since today is 8-11-04 the cell should highlight if the date is 03-(whatever day)-05 since that is 6 months in the future. I do have a cell that highlights anything EXACTLY 6 months from TODAY, but I want the whole month to be selected and not the actual day of the month. Try this instead: =DATEVALUE(MONTH(A19)+6 &"/"&DAY(TODAY())&"/"&YEAR(A19))=(TODAY()) Ray -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Scott-Johnson, Tiffani D. The formula that would work for me is: =DATEVALUE(DAY(TODAY())&"/"&MONTH(A1)+1&"/"&YEAR(A1))=(TODAY()) But since I the format I need is MM/DD/YY I tried to change it and I must have did it incorrectly to: =DATEVALUE(MONTH(A19)+6(TODAY())&"/"&DAY&"/"&YEAR(A19))=(TODAY()) Thank you -----Original Message----- From: Ray Blake [mailto:ray@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 2004 2:59 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Help with Excel formulas please I have a page on my site which will get you most of the way with this: http://www.grbps.com/raq3.htm Be sure to read right to the bottom! You can also do what you need to do to the names, too. In the conditional formatting dialog, you need to change from 'cell' to 'formula' and add a reference to the column which contains the date. If you're completely new to conditional formatting, you might want to Google for an introduction to the subject. I'm pretty sure you can find one at Linda's ABC site. This is going to be a date that could be any where on the spreadsheet and 6 months before this month(not just today but the whole month) I would like it to turn green and bold. I also wondering if it is possible if one of those dates are bolded could I make that person's name in Column A Bold and highlighted. I do appreciate your help.
