I just started to learn about the conditional formatting, from Linda's site,
but I am still having problems with the formula.
The formula that would work for me is:
=DATEVALUE(DAY(TODAY())&"/"&MONTH(A1)+1&"/"&YEAR(A1))=(TODAY())

But since I the format I need is MM/DD/YY I tried to change it and I must
have did it incorrectly to:

=DATEVALUE(MONTH(A19)+6(TODAY())&"/"&DAY&"/"&YEAR(A19))=(TODAY())

Thank you

I have a page on my site which will get you most of the way with this:

        http://www.grbps.com/raq3.htm

Be sure to read right to the bottom!

You can also do what you need to do to the names, too. In the conditional
formatting dialog, you need to change from 'cell' to 'formula' and add a
reference to the column which contains the date.

If you're completely new to conditional formatting, you might want to Google
for an introduction to the subject. I'm pretty sure you can find one at
Linda's ABC site.

I am working in excel where I am trying to figure out the formula I
would
use. This is going to be a date that could be any where on the
spreadsheet and 6 months before this month(not just today but the whole
month) I would like it to turn green and bold.
I also wondering if it is possible if one of those dates are bolded
could I
make that person's name in Column A Bold and highlighted.
I do appreciate your help.

Tiffani
