Are you sure it's the header, James? Did you go to File>Page Setup and
check your top margin? Also, make sure you don't have your gutter set to
"top"?

Normally in Word when I remove all contents of a Header/Footer and then get
out of Header/Footer view, the Header/Footer "goes away" or "collapses".
The space normally taken by the header/footer is then available for the text
body.
However, I am working on a document and when I clear the header, it does NOT
"collapse"
I've tried selecting and deleting the whole header, clearing formatting and
reapplying the header style. Nothing
Anyone have a clue?
