Thanks for asking, James....it appears people are just lazy....even tho
I have full instructions at the home page for this site and the homepage
makes it VERY easy to unsubscribe, change to digest, or set yourself on
or off vacation, people still write to the list or to me privately.
Yes, the moderator would very much like people to do this
themselves...and the directions and a link to the home page are at the
bottom of every email you receive from this group.
The only people who need to write to me privately are those who are
trying to unsub and it's not working.....if this is the case, it is
probably becuz you are trying to unsub from an address other than the
one you subscribed to yahoo with. If you don't know which address you
used, send me an email privately with a list of all the addresses you
have ever used in your life and I will search the membership list and
get you off.
Thanks to all the members for your patience throughout all this
unneccessary mail.

Subject: [mso] Request for clarification
At one time, there was a problem with having the system unsubscribe.
As a result, a posting was made with the subject of
FREELIST ADMITS THERE'S AN UNS*BSCRIBE PROB...
PLEASE READ
That original email encouraged members to write and noted that the
moderator would unsubscribe.
Now, some time later, members are still writing the list requesting to
be unsubscribed.
I have dutifully avoided writing such members (offlist) to note that (a)
the problem has been corrected, (b) most of the problem was the failure
of members to read and follow instructions (particularly, to confirm the
unsubscribe command, (c) that the confirmation requirement has been
terminated and (d) that they should now unsubscribe themselves.
But I write for clarification: does the moderator STILL want members to
write the list to be unsubscribed?
Or does the moderator want people to do it themselves?

This is not S*P*A*M! You are receiving this mail because you either subscribed

To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with
a subject line that says "unsubscribe" (without the quotes). Do not put
unsubscribe IN CAPS. Screaming doesn't get you out any faster and the caps
prevent the function from working.
To change your email settings to digest or vacation (no mail), visit the
group's homepage for full instructions.
