[mso] Re: Get Office programs to stretch across a widescreen

I'm glad that Dave took first stab at this one because I also was somewhat
bewildered as to what was going on. I'm not sure what the "built-in recovery
program" could have been and how that helps clean up an infected computer. I
also thought that perhaps the video driver was the wrong one for the
widescreen monitor which needs to run at its own native resolution and not
one of the standard SVGA resolutions. But if everything else were running
and looking just fine and that it was only Word that was running in a small
window, then I'd say the user needs a little brush-up on some basic Windows
training. Tell her to right click on the Word icon and select Properties.
Then set the Run options from Normal Window to Maximized. In other words,
the problem exists between the keyboard and the chair.

Reckon you need to get a bit more information. If a window is maximised,
then it will stretch across the entire screen - wide or narrow - by itself,
I would have expected. Is it that Word documents are not using the full
width of the screen or something like that? But that's easily solved with
the zoom.

So you need to find out exactly what she means when she says this.

Regards, Dave S
