[mso] Re: Frontpage Site Design

From: "Stephen Doyle" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

"Shortly I wil be starting to add up to 100 or more pages to the surf club
site I maintain. These pages are going to be training help for various
activities and different levels of ability. My question is, should I make
these pages printable from the web, or create pdf files for download, or
both.
Any advice gratefully received."

The PDF will give you total control on the layout for printing, but you
force your visitors to have at least the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed
(most people do). Though, if this is going to be mostly text, then just from
the web is fine.

BTW, you can use CSS to format how a web page is printed, though only
the latest browsers are going to render it the right way (even then not
fully).
