[mso] For a while, I will moderate but not post. Please read this.

Hi gang.  Well, here's some good news and some bad news.

The good news is I have just signed a contract with Wiley Publishing to
write their upcoming MOS Study Guide for Excel.  I'm VERY happy about this,
but the amount of work I have to complete in a short time is pretty
overwhelming.

The bad news is I need to concentrate COMPLETELY on this for the next few
months.  I have to write a 500+ page book and have it completed by mid
January.  So, I will continue to moderate this group and try to keep the
spammers and autoresponders away from you all, but I will not have time to
read every post, and I certainly won't have time to answer any questions.
But, the calibre of the members we now have means I shouldn't be missed much
at all ;-)

Becuz of the way freelists sends these emails, autoresponders are only sent
to people who post.  So, since I will not be posting, I won't see these.  In
most cases, people have their autoresponders set up so only one
autoresponder is sent, so I ask for your patience and if you receive ONE
autoresponder from a member, you just delete it and forget it.  However, if
someone has their autoresponders set up to reply to EVERY post and you
receive a bunch of them, please write to me privately and I will put this
person on vacation and moderate all posts they send to the group. However,
to save me some work, PLEASE GO TO THE WEB PAGE IN THE FOOTER OFTHIS EMAIL
AND USE THE DROPDOWN TO SET YOURSELF ON VACATION BEFORE YOU TURN ON AN
AUTORESPONDER.  You can also return to that page and use the dropdown to get
back to regular mail when you return.

Also, please write to me privately if ANYONE is posting offensive or
inappropriate posts to this group.  Try your best to keep everyting
on-topic!

And, speaking of posters I now have on moderated status.  If I put you on
moderated status in the past becuz of your autoresponder or becuz you posted
something inappropriate and you  now understand how to avoid this in the
future, send me a private email, using the moderators email address
mentioned in the footer of this email, and I will remove your moderated
status.  Becuz I am going to be so busy, I really would prefer not to have
to moderate too many members (and I won't be as quick to approve posts as I
usually am).
