Hi Dian and Greg,

The work-arounds that you identified for changing the color of page numbers 
and for flowing graphics behind text are probably more work than I'm willing 
to do. They would make the newsletter more attractive, but they really don't 
add much to information content. I do have InDesign, but the learning curve 
for that product is VERY steep. I also saw on page 2 that Fermilab/SLAC names 
about 40 people who work on their newsletter. I'm lucky to get my daughter to 
help as an occasional proofreader.

I'll be happy to stick with good old Word for the foreseeable future.
