Hi Ray. The fonts in your Windows Fonts folder are available to ALL =
programs
in your computer that use fonts...not just the Office Programs...fonts =
are
not stored within programs...when a program you install adds fonts to =
your
system, it puts them in your Windows Fonts folder

The only exception to this that I know of are some special graphic fonts
that are installed by your printer driver and may not be usable or =
available
in all programs...but other than that, every font in your Windows Fonts
folder should be available to you in every program on your computer that
uses fonts...this is a Windows thing, not an Office thing, or any other
program for that matter.

Hi Linda,

<<have you checked to see if they are there?>>

Yes, I have. The Font folder in Control Panel shows separate files for =
bold
versus italics versus normal for some type styles. In the drop down =
font
window within Word, in some cases, only a single instance of that type =
style
is shown (but of course, bold and italics are options). This may be the
reason I see fewer choices in the drop down window than the number of =
files
in
the Windows Font folder.

I interpret your reply to mean that fonts become "integrated" into =
Office
merely by being stored in the Windows Font folder (as properly formatted
files). If that is correct, then I ought to be able to gain additional
fonts
for Office if I copy into that folder the font files associated with =
other
non-Office applications. Please confirm.

Thank you for your help.

Ray Shapp
